This work visually represents 27 genocides impacting indigenous tribes across the world over the last 524 years. The intention of the work is to understand the devastating impact of settler colonialism, illustrating the loss of life and culture on a global scale. The post-colonial world still witnesses genocide, a remanent of colonial expansion. As we expand, communities and tribes on the periphery are further pushed into obscurity as corporations take over the roles of colonial conquest. The work in its attempt to understand genocide, brings forward the ideas of
ideologically, racially and economically motivated violence. The continuance of this violence today as communities are exploited for economic gain and the continued impact of colonization today.
