Looking at Archival photography from the 60s in Pakistan, This work explores the power dynamics inherent in bureaucratic Photographs. Through a simple editing process, your perspective of class hierarchy in Pakistan becomes apparent as the identities of key officers are diminished in favour of workers stationed in the periphery of the photograph

This work is based on a set of historical Photographs taken in Egypt during WW2. Using bleach to erase and highlight central figures, the work highlights the underlying history of orientalist photography and the power hierarchy between eastern and western communities.
